Free life Skills

Teaching free life skill bring dignity to women and men!

Our mission and passion is to help the Children break generational barriers by providing them education, skills, mentorship, and opportunities they need to build their own future.

Every child deserves the opportunity to grow beyond the circumstances they were born into. Breaking the Cycle Foundation works to provide children with access to nutritious food, education, mentorship, career guidance, skills training, scholarships, and opportunities that can open doors to a different future.

But we cannot do this alone. Your financial support allows us to reach more children and provide the resources they need to pursue their education and build meaningful careers.

Where Your Support Goes

Education Support: School and college expenses, educational materials, and learning resources.

My name is Sandhya. I did not go to school after 7th grade due to financial issues. At age 20 I got married to my husband, then in an attempt to help our family I took a beautician course and worked in that field for a while with my husband Venkatesh at a propane cylinder gas company. He used to earn around ₹20,000 a month, and we lived very happily together. After our children were born, I stopped working and stayed at home.

However, our happiness did not last long. About three years ago, while i was 32 weeks pregnant with our 3rd child my husband suddenly died of a heart attack. My world shattered into darkness in an instant. With 2 toddlers and new born babies I couldn’t go back to full time work. All I can do is working as maid at 2-3 houses to feed my babies. I wish I had basic education to get a decent job.

Not only my children but now I have my in-laws responsibility as they are seniors and my husband’s elder sister also is a widow and lives with me along with her parents. I can not expect any financial support from my family as my dad passed away right after our marriage, my sister died 4 years ago and my brother passed away during my childhood.   My mother suffered a stroke and currently lives with my sister-in-law. All that saying, now I am the only money maker for 3 children and 3 in-laws that depend on me. I do maid work and am able to feed them all.

During the deep grief of losing my husband and struggling through tough times, I found unexpected comfort. Nearby, there is a church, and the pastor along with his wife visited me regularly. Even though I was a Hindu and had never gone to church before, they showed me genuine care, love, and comfort through God’s Word. I am truly thankful for them. They invited me to attend the church, and slowly I began going. Each time I attended, I felt a deep peace and happiness.  I continued learning about God.

I have not received any financial assistance from the government or any other organization so far. I am hoping and praying that God may open doors of sponsor to send my children to school. I know my situation is hopeless and can not break this cycle of illiteracy and I do not want my children to end up like me. If God leads you I prayerfully ask to support my children to go to school. I can feed them as long as i have strength and health by God’s grace.
